A tired and stressed college student who has been dealing with much more than she thought she’d have to deal with in her adult life. Sure, she knew the academic expectations were there, and she knew she didn’t know what she wanted right away. And boy, she did not want to be stuck in Tally for her future ventures. But out of everything, the microbe apocalypse was NOT on her bingo list for adulthood. Now, she’s stuck in her least favorite place, fending off the horrifying concept of losing her free will, all while trying to keep up the facade of a normal life to her family. But she won’t give up, even if it’s hard— she’s not letting herself lose, no matter how hard the entire town tries to get her to give in. She’s going to save this place from this invader from outer space. …And as soon as that’s done, she’s getting the hell out of here.

Cameron’s a stubborn person, through and through. She’s not afraid to voice her opinion and stick by it, so much so to the point she’ll get into heated arguments over the smallest of things. She tries to seem like she knows what she’s doing, when in reality, she’s a wreck and she knows it. She’d be content with being a drop out, if she didn’t feel the constant need to prove herself. To who? She doesn’t know anymore. But she’s determined to make something with herself, something “successful”, even if she doesn’t know how to do that yet. Maybe saving this dumb town from microbe aliens will be that thing.
